Colossians 3:12

Therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and dearly loved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

In worship, discipleship, and community partnerships, humility is the fundamental posture that we adopt. Every week, we come together to hear God's Word and receive His Means of Grace. To create a sacred space for worship and assist in worship activities, we spend money to cover the cost of materials. Worship is a source of renewal for us in our personal and public walk with Jesus, and it empowers us to be good stewards of the gifts that God has entrusted to us for His Kingdom's work. Walking humbly with God means we must pursue every opportunity for all people to proclaim, develop, and grow into God's grace. We declare God's redemption to the world and invite people to serve Him in His Kingdom through programs like Camp Evolution, NextUp Summer Internship, City Life Youth Group, and Showered W/ Hope. Humility is also the foundation of our effectiveness as witnesses to the grace that has saved us, and that's why we allocate funds for spiritual and professional development opportunities and materials. Finally, we embrace humility because it is the key to our sustainability. Individual and congregational partnerships are the foundation of our financial stability, and as such, we allocate funds to cover expenses related to fundraising materials and travel.
